Tribute mosaic
From one generation of students to the next, Preparing for the future.
From April 30
The mosaic D’une génération d’élèves à l’autre, préparer l’avenir (From one generation of students to the next, preparing for the future) pays tribute to some sixty former students with remarkable career paths. For almost four centuries, thousands of young girls have “grown up” with the Ursulines, being
encouraged to give of themselves to build a more just and open society.
The cumulative impact of their journeys is undeniable – whether in the intimacy of a home, in front of a class, or on the national or international stage. Some of them have advanced Quebec and the place of women in many fields: education, literature, health, law, social work, music, visual arts, design…
Visitors can meet them by rotating either
of the “doors”. These determined women have opened so many doors themselves. At the back,
, a large-format projection shows girls and boys from the School preparing, in turn, to write the future.
