Recollections of a House

Madame de La Peltrie’s house welcomes you!

Permanent exhibition

This exhibition is dedicated to the history of the building erected in the 19th century on the remains of the house belonging to Madame de La Peltrie (1603–1671), secular founder of the monastery. This building houses the museum today. The exhibition features artefacts discovered during archeological excavations conducted during the museum expansion in 2010. A series of small-scale models shows the house in relation to the changing architecture of the monastery complex from 1642 to the present.
