Pedagogical Objects

The Ursulines’ extensive education collection contains materials and instruments used primarily for teaching writing, catechism, arithmetic, history, astronomy, chemistry, music, drawing and embroidery. This 19th-century compression fountain, used in physics classes, and this box of different wood-species samples are typical of the items in the collection.
