Furniture

Although the furniture collection is comprised of pieces from different eras, the majority of them date from the 17th and 18th centuries. Understated, solid, functional and practical, the furniture reflects the duties of a cloistered teaching community. This small pine cabinet and this chair, known as the “sick person’s chair,” manufactured in the 17th century, are fine examples of this.
